Business Development Officer – Major Accounts Department

To drive business growth within the Major Accounts segment by identifying new opportunities, strengthening strategic client relationships, and delivering customized insurance solutions that align with the complex needs of large corporations particularly in industries such as energy, construction, infrastructure, and specialty risks. This role also supports internal collaboration, upholds ethical practices, and contributes to a culture of care and teamwork in line with Lockton’s core values.

Job Scope :

  • Develop and implement strategies to acquire new major corporate clients and expand business through up-selling, cross-selling, and win-back opportunities.
  • Understand client businesses and industry-specific risks in areas such as power, construction, infrastructure, and other large-scale or complex operations.
  • Design and enhance presentation tools and materials that clearly communicate insurance strategies and operational plans tailored to client needs.
  • Support supervisors in preparing and delivering client and partner presentations in both Thai and English.
  • Coordinate with insurers to facilitate proposal discussions and ensure competitive and appropriate insurance solutions are offered.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth execution of business operations and project requirements.
  • Handle other assigned tasks that contribute to the development and success of the Major Accounts portfolio.

Qualifications Required :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably in business development, corporate non-life insurance, or commercial risk insurance.
  • Familiarity with insurance programs related to energy, construction, infrastructure, or other complex corporate risks is an advantage.
  • Strong business communication skills in both Thai and English, with the ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Holding a non-life insurance broker license is a plus.
  • Strategic thinking, adaptability, and a proactive mindset in identifying client needs and proposing tailored insurance solutions.
  • Able to travel and meet clients or business partners as needed.
